Act 93 Assistant Food Service Director - Manheim Township School District

This position reports directly to the Food Service Director and is to provide leadership and managerial oversight to the day to day operations of Manheim Township Food Services Department, in coordination with the Director of Food Services. This position will procure food and supplies, ensure staffing coverage, coordinate special function/catering events, coordinate and execute the summer meal program, coordinate and supervise staff deliveries to all 9 buildings, and ensure high standards in compliance of policies and procedures. 

POSITION TYPE: Full-time 12 month, Act 93-Group B

LOCATION: District-wide

Degree: Bachelor’s Degree preferred, preferably in Hospitality/Food Service Management, Nutrition/Dietetics, or a Culinary field. A high school diploma is required. 

Experience: Professional experience in food service management, large-scale culinary production, warehouse, supervisory, catering, or school nutrition operations is preferred.*6 years supervisory experience in a fast paced food service environment is preferred. 

Credentials: 

• School Nutrition experience is highly preferred.
• Valid Food Safety Program Certification (e.g., ServSafe) is preferred and must pass and be re-certified every 5 years.

Travel Requirements: Must be able to travel between all 9 buildings during the work day.

Salary based up experience. Minimum starting salary $66,653
