Director, Food and Nutrition Services: 

The Armstrong School District is seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to serve as the Director of Food and Nutrition Services. The Director will provide leadership and oversight for the District’s comprehensive food and nutrition program, serving approximately 4,245 students in grades K–12.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Food Service Management, Dietetics, Nutrition, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• Successful supervisory or administrative experience in school food service, institutional food service, or a related setting. Completion of an internship or specialized training program designed to prepare individuals for food and nutrition services supervisory or director-level positions will also be considered.
• Knowledge of current federal and state laws, regulations, and guidelines governing school nutrition programs, food safety, and personnel supervision.
• Strong organizational, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively manage staff, budgets, food service operations, and program compliance.
• Commitment to providing nutritious, high-quality, and cost-effective meals and services to students and staff.

The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate strong leadership, sound judgment, effective communication, and the ability to collaborate with administrators, staff, students, families, and community partners.
